A couple of weeks ago I sent out an email asking my contacts and
colleagues to answer 2 questions about leadership. The responses
came flooding in to my inbox. I am completely stunned by how
many folks took the time to write back to me.
Hundreds of people have sent in their questions!
By the way, if you haven’t written yet, I would still love to hear
from you.
I’ll tell you one thing that is really clear. While there are a lot of
people out there who want to lead brilliantly, there are also a lot
of folks who are incredibly frustrated because they can’t
overcome the massive resistance that exists inside companies
today.
Perhaps it’s to do with the incredible bureaucracy and hierarchy that we create for ourselves.
Perhaps it’s to do with a few well placed leadership egos who are blocking progress.
You would think that with all the leadership books and training companies out there it would
be a little easier to build support for what you want to do. But it just seems as if most so-called leadership consultants just want to re-hash stories about Gandhi and Mother Teresa and don’t
want to discuss the practical realities of everyday business.
But don’t get me started on that - I could rant for a long time, and that isn’t why I’m writing
this post.
What is your most urgent leadership challenge?
What my colleagues and I are working on now is compiling all those survey results you sent in.
And we’re comparing the results with a survey we did this time last year.
Why? Well, I thought it would be interesting to come up with a list of the top things that your fellow leadership professionals need when it comes to leadership. This is something we can ALL
learn from.
Once I put these data together I am going to create a whitepaper or report and distribute
it for free.
So if you want to get the report when it’s ready, just type your name and your main email address
in the boxes below this story.
Please do it right away and get on the VIP Priority list. That way I can email you as soon as the
report is ready.
Wishing you all the very best
Steven Sonsino
P.S. I just want to thank you again for all your wonderful responses… and if you haven’t sent
yours yet, just click the following link and answer the 2 questions here. It’ll just take 2 minutes.
